08 Mar You Don’t Have to Own it, to Appreciate it.
I prefer to host my live events in surroundings that evoke a sense of “what could be” for my guests and clients. I plan it this way, on purpose. My thought is that if we can see it, we can believe it. We can try it all on for size and see how well we fit into an up-levelled atmosphere.
It’s always been a part of my brand to over-deliver and choosing locations, properties, guest experts, and curating a group of attendees is all part of how I do this. Everyone in attendance learns how to appreciate it, without owning it. They then in turn, suddenly realize that they can have the property, the connections, the knowledge, the insight, and the profits too. All that is required is the desire, backed up by action, and propelled by momentum, sprinkled with a dose of “stickwithitability.”
Not everyone is yearning for grand homes, with rolling lawns, and fine china. Some would prefer a nook in the woods, off the grid with periodic trips into the big city for supplies. Whatever you prefer, I encourage you to dip your toes into the colors, the smells, the tastes, and the emotions of this desired vision for your life. If for no other reason than to inspire you to continue moving forward with your career goals, your business plan, and your investments.
Wrap yourself in cashmere or flannel, either way, take a moment to appreciate what you have, notice what can be, and decide to go after whatever definition of success fits your vision best.
